Indiana Insurance Services Offices - 1962 to 1969
920 North Delaware Street, Indianapolis, Indiana

Our company was originally formed in 1952 as the Richard E. Daniel Insurance Agency. The original company was located at 1109 South Meridian Street in a one-room office next to the Oriental Theatre.

In 1955, due to enlargement, we moved into the adjacent building at 1119 South Meridian Street into quarters five times the original size.

In 1962, a search for newer larger quarters let us to the lease of the building pictured here at 920 North Delaware Street.

In 1968, after purchasing the adjacent property, plans were made to demolish the current structure and a new two-story office building was built upon the site. Ground was broken in 1969 and we moved into the new quarters on the bottom floor in 1970.

In 1976, continued growth caused the agency to expand into the 2nd story of the building.

In 1978, Michael Daniel, moved to open a new Southside location in Greenwood, Indiana. Originally located at 520 North Madison Avenue, this location has moved into new quarters at 3115 Meridian Park Drive in Greenwood.

In 1980, the buiding on North Delaware Street was sold, and the downtown agency was moved to a new location at 2051 North Emerson Avenue on the Eastside of Indianapolis. This agency is still at that location.

In 1987, Richard Daniel passed away, and all outstanding shares of the business were purchased by Michael Daniel.

At present, Michael Daniel is the owner of both agencies.
